The Last Room is a Windows PC detective mystery game developed independently under Kalpkant Games.
Enter the Crime Scene
A mysterious crime has taken place inside an apartment. You step into the role of an investigator, tasked with discovering what really happened.
But solving the case won't be as simple as finding a single clue.
Every object might hold a secret. Every statement might hide a contradiction. And every piece of evidence could change your understanding of the incident.
What Can You Do?
Investigate the Crime Scene
Explore the apartment and carefully inspect suspicious objects and details.
Examine the Evidence
Discover clues and understand how they connect to the events surrounding the crime.
Question the Suspects
Talk to suspects, gather information, and look for contradictions in their statements.

Use the investigation board to organize evidence and develop your theory.
Make Your Accusation
Once you've gathered enough information, decide who you believe is responsible.
Built Independently
The Last Room is a solo-developed project by Chandan Kumar, under Kalpkant Games.
From implementing the investigation mechanics to building the crime scene and connecting the evidence systems, this project represents another step in my journey as an independent game developer.
My goal was to create a compact detective experience where observation, reasoning, and connecting clues are at the center of the gameplay.
